Categories:

Novice:
1.     Wedding cake 
        two or three tiers. Board size limited to 50cm

2.     Novelty cake 
        your own theme. Board size limited to 50cm


Open:
3.     Wedding cake 
        two or three tiers . Board size limited to 50cm             

4.     Novelty cake
        your own theme 50cm

Seniors:
5.     Celebration cake. 
        Board size limited to 40cm

Juniors:
6.     Cake depicting Peppa Pig and friend/s (pick a character). 
        Board size limited to 45cm

Open to all:
7.     Stitches and Craft theme
a book or magazine, open or otherwise, depicting the essence of Stitches and Craft. 
A photo of the book/magazine which inspired the design to be submitted with the cake. 
Board size limited to 50cm

8.     Unknown Challenge
items will be supplied.

9.     Piece of Sugar craft 
        theme “High Tea”
        Board size limited to 30cm

10.   Specimen flower – Daffodil. 
        All flowers will be displayed in identical vases.

GENERAL RULES
1.         
Exhibitors are allowed one entry per class

2.         
Exhibitors may enter as many classes for which they are eligible.

3.        
All works  must be that of the Exhibitor

4.         
Manufactured pillars, wooden skewers, acrylic rods and other means of support to elevate cakes may be used. Ribbon, tulle, wire, non-synthetic stamens, edible colour, edible glitter (minimum amount), posy picks are permitted. Manufactured decoration is only permitted in Class 8 ( Unknown Challenge), where items will be given to each exhibitor to be incorporated in their design.

5.         
Wire must not be inserted directly into a cake. A flower pick or substitute is acceptable. Wire  may be used in sugar art classes where no cake is involved.

6.         
Edible food products eg., rice paper, wafer paper, polenta, gelatine, coconut, piping gel, cachous and other sugar based products may be used where appropriate.

7.         
Boards: icing, paper, fabric or adhesive film may be used as a board cover. All boards must fit within the designated size for each class. Base boards or presentation boards which come into contact with the exhibition surface must be fitted with cleats (support feet) attached to the underside of the board, which will raise it sufficiently to enable ease of handling.

8.         
Dummy cakes are permitted, but must be able to be replicated in cake.
